FIRST TIME?

It is our deep desire that your first visit to Christian Life Community Church is positive, encouraging and life-impacting. To that end, we’d like to give you a quick summary of what you may expect when you stop by. If you have more questions or would simply like to let us know you’re coming, don’t hesitate to Contact us or give us a call at (713) 631-4851

 What to Wear.

Our church family comes together with no formal dress code. Most prefer the comfort of the casual clothes they wear every day. You are welcome to come as you are, with no expectation for anything else!

Gathering Times.

Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00 AM. If you are interested, you may also join us early, at 9:30 AM, as we pray and invite the Presence of God to join us for the morning activities.

We also offer a “Real talk session” with our First Lady Sonya Sherden in our newest addition to Sundays “Coffee and Conversation” beginning at 9:00 AM. Every Sunday

The Drive.

We have provided links to Google Maps as well as written directions on our Contact Us page.

Upon Arrival.

When you arrive, our friendly greeters will meet you at the door and if you let them know it’s your first time, they will also give you our welcome packet. Our greeters will also answer your questions about where to go, where the bathrooms are, what programs we offer for children and adults, etc.

The Worship.

The people at Christian Life Community Church are of all ages with differing styles and tastes in music which we consider to be a GOOD thing! As a result the songs we incorporate into our gatherings range from contemporary to original hymns. Our heart is to worship God through songs that glorify Him – this is what the people of our church have in common. Our instruments and voices are a Biblical, corporate, visible, and joyful way in which we praise and worship God. During this time you are welcome to participate in whatever way you prefer, whether by standing, clapping and singing or by sitting and reflecting. So make yourself comfortable and at home! We also pause and allow God to speak to us, encourage and strengthen us as the Holy Spirit directs through words that may lead to personal ministry.

The Children.

We love to see families worshiping together. That’s why we encourage children to join the adults in the main service until the worship portion of the service is over.

Offerings.

Each Sunday we take a few moments to share some announcements about upcoming events and receive an offering by distributing baskets down each aisle. We encourage you to feel no obligation to give and simply take note of any upcoming activities our church is offering which you might be interested in participating in.

Message & Prayer.

The final element in our Sunday service is the message. We will occasionally provide notes for you which is included in your bulletin as well as reinforcing graphics on our large screen while one of our Bishop speaks. Every message is bathed in hours of preparation & prayer and will hopefully result in challenging you to discover God and His love more every time you listen. The gathering closes with a time of altar ministry and prayer where anyone who wants personal prayer, including being anointed with oil, can be ministered to by the trained altar team.

Following the Service.

When the service concludes, you are welcome to linger and visit with folks or make your way to lunch and the rest of your day’s activities. On your way out, we encourage you to introduce yourself to Bishop Sherden who loves to make time for guests.
